Our company seeks to add value to human habitats by enhancing both public spaces and private dwellings, with a particular interest in adaptive reuse and historic preservation.

We provide new construction and renovation services for both commercial and residential projects. Much of our work is self-performed, allowing us to stay directly connected with the client throughout the project.

Dane Forlines founded JDF Construction LLC in 2022 after 20 years of experience in city-building. Dane holds a civil engineering degree from Vanderbilt University, a Master’s in City & Regional Planning from the University of Memphis, and has completed a non-degree program in urban design at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. He is currently certified by the American Institute for Certified Planners (AICP), is accredited by the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU-A), and is licensed as a general contractor and real estate broker. He lives in Memphis with his wife and three children.
